CHILDREN can ditch their 21sth century gadgets and have a go at making old-fashioned toys during half term at Haden Hill House Museum.
Toys that Grandma used to Make, teaches youngsters how make simple knitted toys, peg dolls and peg doll superheroes next Tuesday (February 16).
Visitors can open an old-fashioned toy cupboard, use their imagination and play with toys from the past as well as take part in quizzes and toy-themed trails on Wednesday.
Ron Popple, performing magic tricks and balloon modelling, will provide the fun on Thursday
Children can make some extra pocket money on Friday by bringing their old toys to sell in a table top sale. Places need to be booked on 01384 569444 and no electrical items can be sold.
All the activities are from 11am until 3om and there is a £2 charge for the toy making workshop.
