GEOGRAPHY lessons at a Halesowen school have been brought to life with a project to contact pupils across the world.
Year two children at Our Lady and St Kenelm RC Primary School have sent their own version of the song He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands to schools in every continent.
The idea for the song came from six-year-old Lily Field and the lyrics tell of life in Halesowen and England, including the line “we’re sending our smiles across the world”.
Teacher Kevin Brown said replies had already been received from Hong Kong and Australia.
He added: “It’s helping them learn about the geography of the world, the different continents and different experiences that children having going to school in other countries.”
