TRAVELLERS who broke into Halesowen's Hurst Green Park more than a week ago are reportedly on the move.

Caravans are said to have started leaving in advance of legal action.

Halesowen North councillor Hilary Bills said: "It would appear that the travellers are drifting off Hurst Green Park owing to the muddy conditions.

"They have been cleaning their caravans in the car park where most of them have moved their caravans."

About 50 caravans invaded the park after an initial wave of travellers knocked over a concrete waste bin, cut back shrub branches and damaged a barrier to force their way in on Saturday June 11.
