A POPULAR Halesowen fish and chip shop is celebrating its 35th birthday by halving prices and raising cash for charity.
In 1981 Loucas Nicodemou opened the Royal Fish Bar, Stourbridge Road, and has kept the place in the family since.
On Tuesday and Wednesday between 4.30pm and 8pm Gerry Nicodemou, Loucas' son, is offering all cooked food at half price to celebrate the shop's 35th anniversary.
Gerry, aged 41, said: "Our customers have been so loyal over the years so we wanted to mark our anniversary with a giveaway to say thanks.
"We have had people coming to use for decades and we know how lucky we are to have a shop in Halesowen."
He added: "We will also be raising money for local girl Skye Warren who suffers from a rare disease, who hopes to go Disney World."
