AN appeal has been launched to bring some festive cheer to an area of Halesowen this Christmas.
The Shell Corner Partnership is hoping businesses will sponsor solar-powered Christmas tree lights which can be attached to lampposts.
The area had some for the first time last year and Councillor Stuart Henley said it was hoped to extend them as far as the top of Mucklow Hill.
The trees cost £150 or £90 for a share of half a tree.
Cllr Henley said: “We hope by making Shell Corner look more festive it will boost business and the festive spirit.”
Anyone wishing to contribute can do so via the Shell Corner Partnership’s Facebook page or by calling any of the ward councillors.
Meanwhile, Cllr Henley has had to postpone this Saturday's surgery. Anyone with issues they wish to raise with him can contact him on 07967 142367.
