MURDERERS Gul Nawaz, from Oldbury, and his ex wife Zatoon Bibi have been sentenced to life imprisonment this afternoon.
The pair were found guilty of killing Smethwick music shop owner Tanveer Iqbal, a 33-year-old father-of-two who was strangled and dumped in the boot of his car which was abandoned in Edgbaston.
The judge at Birmingham Crown Court ruled that Bibi, aged 37, should serve a minimum of 27 years behind bars and Nawaz, aged 44, at least 25 years after the jury returned guilty verdicts.
Reporting restrictions were lifted on their 16-year-old son Kashim Nawaz, who was also found guilty of murder.
He was sentenced to detention and will serve a minimum of six years.
