THE Coombswood Surgery in Halesowen is still closed after bailiffs entered the premises in May 31.

Patients have been invited to a meeting next week to have their say about the closure.

The Dudley NHS Primary Care Commissioning Committee is holding the meeting at the Zion Centre, Halesowen on Friday, September 30.

Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP, James Morris, is encouraging patients to attend the meeting about the Coombs Road surgery.

He said: "Back in June the surgery was closed due to a dispute between the tenant GP and landlord over missed rent payments, the first closure of its kind in England.

"I have been meeting with all the different partners to help find a solution is calling on those affected by the closure to attend the meeting."

He added: "I have been contacted by many concerned and anxious patients who have genuine concerns for the future of their surgery.

"I will be going to speak up on behalf of those affected next week, and encourage local residents to attend. This is an important opportunity to have your say."

The meeting will be held in the Zion Christian Centre, Little Cornbow at 1pm on Friday, September 30.
