A BUDDING young footballer from Halesowen was treated to a coaching day to remember after meeting her sporting heroes at Birmingham City Ladies FC.

Isobel Roper, aged seven, was invited to watch her favourite team train at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, Solihull, before receiving an exclusive coaching session following a nomination from her mum, Holly.

The youngster was nominated for her keen interest and talent shown in football from a young age as part of the team’s main shirt sponsor Eze Group’s Eze Wishes initiative.

Holly said: “Isobel started playing the sport a few years ago for a boys’ team, but in more recent times joined Rowley Wildcats under nine girls. She’s football mad.

“I can’t begin to thank Eze Group enough, Isobel had a fabulous day. Now she can’t wait to watch her favourite team play at their next home game.”

Isobel also received a signed ball, enjoyed a question and answer session with the Blues Ladies players, and tickets for her and her Rowley Wildcats team to watch Blues play Liverpool Ladies FC.

Isobel said: “I had an amazing day, and meeting all the players was a dream come true. The signed football was such a surprise, and I’ll treasure it forever.”

The Eze Wishes campaign is designed to recognise and reward those Blues Ladies’ fans who have overcome adversity, shown tremendous community spirit or demonstrated outstanding support for the club and sport.
