HALESOWEN cyclist Helen Scott, who won gold in the women's B 1000m time trial at the Rio Paralympics, has been awarded an MBE for services to cycling.
The 26-year-old has been handed an MBE for services to cycling.
Miss Scott piloted para-cyclist Sophie Thornhill to glory at the Rio Paralympics, also won silver and bronze medals alongside Aileen McGlynn at London 2012.
She tweeted her delighted at being awarded the MBE.
She said: "I am hugely proud, but it would have been impossible without the team at British Cycling."
