Crash causes gas leak in Redditch as homes evacuated
A CRASH in Redditch has caused a gas leak in Redditch.
The smash between a bus and a bus happened at around 4.40pm today (Friday) on the Ridgeway, adjacent to the junction of Yew End.
Two people received minor injuries from the incident.
There was damage to a gas main pipe. Officers have cordoned off between one to two miles of road and residents from five properties in the immediate vicinity have also been evacuated.
Engineers from the National Grid have been called to deal with the leak. Traffic is being stopped and diverted at Egioake Lane.
