AN inspirational Rowley Regis woman has had a self-help book published.

Lukesh Sharma, aged 37, is both a biomedical scientist and a holistic healing expert and has gathered a wealth of information for her book Changes.

The author, who writes under the name Philautia, has brought together positive quotations for her book so people can be inspired to live a more rewarding life.

She said: "I have been through some very interesting personal journeys.

"These journeys have provided me with a chance to expand my knowledge whilst learning a variety of invaluable lessons and shown me how the body reacts to negativity and stress and how important it is to remain as positive as possible.

"I have always been passionate about helping people, guiding and motivating them to reach their full potential."

She added: "I love helping them to discover that there are always different paths available to them as they only have to look within to find the strength and courage needed.

"So often people don’t stop, they live their life at full speed and they forget to nurture and care for themselves and don’t take time out to love their mind, body or soul; in turn they suffer."

Miss Sharma started her business Philautia in 2015.

She said: "Philautia is an ancient Greek word for love, it is the love we give to ourselves; our mind, body and soul in a non-narcissistic way.

"It is the notion that we need to love ourselves before we can love and care for others."

Changes is on sale at Foyles Book Shop, Grand Central, Birmingham and on Amazon Kindle.

She said: "I am delighted Changes is on sale at Foyles, it was amazing to see it there on sale."
