HADEN Hill House museum staff are preparing to throw open the doors for February half term after a winter break allowing staff to deep clean.

Young visitors are being invited to dig out their old toys, games and books and book a table for a children's table top sale on Friday, February 24 between 11am and 3pm.

Alison Hyatt, visitor services officer, said: "Tables are free to sell your items but pre booking a table is essential.

"We are encouraging our young visitors to make room after receiving all their Christmas toys and sell unwanted toys, but no electrical goods please."

You could also just come along on the day, have a browse and grab a bargain!

On Wednesday, February 22 families can try their hand at our craft activities and on the next day visitors can join in the Victorian spring cleaning day and help the housekeeper with some cleansing chores.

The museum opens for the summer season on Thursday, April 6 and for more information about events and activities visit www.sandwell.gov.UK/joininmuseums or call 01384 569444
