COUPLES will be renewing their wedding vows at a special service at Worcester Cathedral tonight (Tuesday February 14) to mark St Valentine’s Day.
The annual short celebration, which will be held at 7pm, will give couples chance to re-commit their relationship before they go out and enjoy the rest of their evening together.
The 30-minute service will include traditional wedding hymns, Lord of All Hopefulness and Love Divine and the famous reading about love from 1 Corinthians, chapter 13.
Fairtrade chocolate hearts will be given out at the end.
Sam Setchell, from the Diocese of Worcester, said the service is open to anyone whether they were originally married in church or not, or whether recently wed or celebrating a milestone anniversary. She added: “It’s a great way to start the celebrations of St Valentine’s Day.”
