HALESOWEN and Rowley Regis MP James Morris has welcomed the snap General Election called by Prime Minister Theresa May.
Mr Morris confirmed he will be standing for the seat he has held since 2010.
He said: "This election will add stability and security to the lives of people in Halesowen and Rowley Regis. What Britain needs now is clarity, and a Prime Minister with a strong mandate to lead us out of the European Union.
"Labour, the SNP and the Liberal Democrats want to try and stall our exit.
"I am determined to ensure that the will of people here in Halesowen and Rowley Regis is fulfilled - and a General Election is a way of doing that."
