Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested by officers in connection with a machete attack outside The Crown pub in Halesowen on Saturday, March 25.

Officers were called to Carters Lane just after 1.15am following reports of a disorder outside the pub.

A 22-year-old man was attacked with a machete, causing serious injuries, and was taken to hospital for treatment. He continues to make a steady recovery.

Police launched an appeal and released video footage in a bid to track down the offenders.

Following information received from members of the public, officers attended two separate addresses in Bartley Green this morning (5 May) to carry out arrests.

Both teenagers were detained on suspicion of wounding and taken into custody where they will be questioned about the incident.
