TWO teenagers accused of killing a Cradley Heath window fitter are set to stand trial in November.

Damilola Johnson, aged 18 and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have both been charged with the murder of Simon Johnson.

The 41-year-old was stabbed to death at his home in Cradley Road, Netherton, on August 11 last year.

The accused appeared before Judge James Burbidge QC at Wolverhampton Crown Court, where a plea and trial preparation hearing was arranged for August 2.

Paul Spratt, prosecuting, said that their trial was scheduled to take place at either Birmingham Crown Court, on November 14, or in Wolverhampton six days later.

Another 16-year-old boy, who also cannot be named, is charged with burgling Mr Johnson's home on the day of his death.

He will also be back in court on August 2.

Mr Spratt told the court that a number of other people had also been charged with raiding Mr Johnson's home.

He said the father-of-two's body was discovered by his workmate from Black Country Glazing, who called at the house to pick him up, and he quickly alerted the emergency services.

All three teenagers were remanded in custody until the next hearing.
