TWO men from Sandwell have been arrested after they were caught by police following a pursuit in Staffordshire yesterday (Monday, January 15).
An 18-year-old from Causeway, Blackheath, and a 19-year-old from Warley Road, Oldbury, were arrested for theft and possession of class A drugs and offensive weapons after officers followed a stolen Ford Focus they were travelling in.
The car was later abandoned on Liverpool Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and the men were stopped on foot shortly afterwards.
Police recovered the stolen vehicle, along with two 'Rambo' knives (pictured below), mobile phones, cash and a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine, which has been sent for testing.
The two men have since been released under investigation while forensic examinations and analysis of the phones takes place.
