OLDBURY’S Pets at Home is holding free animal workshops for children throughout next week’s half term holidays.
The workshops, which raise awareness about how to care for different types of pets responsibly, will take place between Saturday February 13 and Friday February 19.
Store manager, Peter Burrell, said: “We’ll be holding a variety of exciting workshops for children to take part in. From rabbits to guinea pigs and fish to wildlife, the workshops will be something fun and interesting for children to do over the half term holidays.”
Children who attend the workshops will receive free animal stickers and a Pets at Home balloon and will also be able to take part in a fish tank colouring competition.
Peter added: “At Pets at Home we are passionate about pets and their welfare is our top priority.
“We are keen to pass on our knowledge about responsible pet care to as many pet owners and future owners as possible, to ensure that pets live happy, healthy lives.”
Children can also take part in the store’s regular Picnic Time sessions where they can watch the pets being fed their healthy afternoon snacks and learn all about their feeding habits.
Picnic Time takes place every weekday at 4pm and at 2.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
