FIFTY textiles and fashion students from Halesowen are flying out to one of the fashion capitals of the world on Wednesday.
The students, who are studying National Diploma Textiles and Fashion and A level Textiles, are going to Paris and taking in a major textile trade fair, museums and well know tourist spots such as the Eiffel Tower, Monmatre and Sacre Coeur.
They will be visiting Premier Vision, an international textile trade fair, and will be attending a student exhibition to see graduate textile work.
During the trip the group will also be keeping a visual studies sketch book which they will refer to for future studies.
Angela Hughes, senior tutor for Expressive Arts at Halesowen College, said: “This will be a fantastic experience for the students to see such culture first hand, the sights and sounds of Paris will really inspire them in their studies.
“The international textile fair and the student exhibition will give them a great insight into the industry and what they could be working in.”
