FORMER Halesowen resident and independent Member of the European Parliament Nikki Sinclaire is returning to the town next week.

Miss Sinclaire is staging a roadshow in Somers Square on Friday, January 14th between 10am and 3pm.

The MEP, who recently won a case against her former paymasters the UK Independence Party for discrimination concerning her sexuality, will be answering questions about her role as an MEP and Britain’s role in Europe.

Miss Sinclaire will explain how about the issues that effect her constituents, she said: “The EU takes £40 million a day of our money - money better spent in this country, where we need it most, on our hospitals, on our schools and supporting our pensioners.

“I used to live in Halesowen and stood for the Halesowen and Rowley Regis seat in the 2005 General Election for UKIP so I am looking forward to coming back to the town.

She added: “I will be answering questions about how Britain is effected by the EU and collecting signatures for a petition which will demand David Cameron holds a referendum on our membership of the EU.”
