A KUNG Fu school teaching the fighting style made famous by film star Bruce Lee is set to open its doors in Halesowen.

Instructor Alan Bagley is starting the branch of the Midlands Wing Chun Kuen association, which will operate out of St John the Baptist Church hall, Queensway.

It will officially open on Tuesday March 6, with classes running from 7pm till 9pm.

Father of four Alan said: “Wing Chun is a highly effective and practical street self protection system, developed and refined over hundreds of years in China.

“It was made famous in the West by early Kung Fu films and stars like the late Bruce Lee and more recently Donnie Yen in the IP man films.

“There is a warm welcome to all newcomers who are welcomed into a non-members group for a introductory 16 lesson course, during which time they will be taught the basics of Wing Chun.”
