Hayley Green and Cradley South debate to go ahead tonight (From Halesowen News)

Having attended the meeting I can only say the puppetmaster aka so called Cllr Ken Turner once again tried to bring chaos to proceedings by making his mark by insisting a question relating to the recent money going to the IMF which was asked by a member of the audience should not be answered by his puppet (sorry wife) because it was a national issue which apparently does not matter to the members of the ward. National issues apparently do not affect us here in Hayley Green and Cradley South. Its a sad state of affairs when a member of the BNP shows more passion than our current Councillor. Although I do not agree with the BNP political or morale stance I can see that he was there due to his own concerns and worries (rightly or wrongly) where Hazel Turner appeared to lost and struggled to make a mark on the proceedings. Ian Cooper was assured, confident and did a great job at showing not only that he cared about people in the ward but also made me feel he had plans to make effective changes. Bob Heeley the UKIP candidate spoke from the heart and made a few very good points which in my opinion made him the second strongest candidate judging from the answers tonight. Make sure you all go out to vote on May 3rd and may the best man win.

well said wiggyboom!you certainly have the Turners weighed up,lets hope the rest of Halesowen wake up.I feel certain Ian Cooper would make a great cllr.and feel he would make great changes for our borough throughout.UKIP or BNP would be a better alternative than the Turners.we need to get the Torys out,they have made fools of us for too long.

Last night's attendance was excellent given the constant attempts to obstruct, delay and derail the meeting by one political party. Ian Cooper’s challenge to Hazel Turner was issued on 11th April. Last night was the earliest date that she found acceptable. The real success this week was that the candidate who was trying to avoid a hustings was put in a position of having to turn up. This was a victory for local democracy even though the delays meant that it was then too late for most residents to see it advertised in the Halesowen News.

Yes a pity it was delayed and not everyone got to know - but on a brighter note any attempts to shine a light through the thin veil that Turner and Turner Ltd try to throw over voters in that they are caring for the ward and those in it only assists in putting another nail in their coffins as councillors. The day that comes when they are both voted out will not be a day too soon. When will they realise that the 'iron fist' bullying tactics they display do not wash? I won't say who I am voting for but it won't be Cllr H Turner that's for sure.

Turner and Turner care only for themselves,i cannot believe people are so stupid to vote for them,or any Tory Toff,dont they see whats going on.we are back in the days when the poor had to bow and scrape to the better off.I will NEVER vote for a Tory.
