PLANS for a care home for adults with learning difficulties in Oldbury have been submitted to Sandwell Council.
Applicant Harpreet Johal wants to create a care home for five adults with special needs at 12, Joinings Bank.
The application notes there will be a maximum of two carers day and night as well as a manager during the day. It notes that the property is currently registered as bedsits.
It goes on: “The residents would live together as a ‘family unit.’ “They will take meals together, share facilities within the property and go on any outdoors activities together or in pairs accompanied by members of the care staff.”
Under plans there will be a parking space for each member of staff and five spaces for visitors. CCTV would be installed as well as a perimeter fence.
