Teenager in court charged with attack on boy in Halesowen

A TEENAGER is due in court this morning following the attack on a 16-year-old boy in Halesowen, which left him in a critical condition in hospital.
A 16-year-old youth was charged by police overnight with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before Dudley Youth Court.
An 18-year-old man, who was also arrested on Tuesday evening, has been released without charge and another male of the same age, who was arrested over the weekend, has had his bail cancelled and will face no further action.
A 14-year-old boy currently remains on bail pending further inquiries.
The assault victim, Oldbury Academy student Conor Southall, from Oldbury, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital with a serious head injury, following the incident which happened on Cocksheds Lane last Friday evening.
