A BABY ballet teacher from Halesowen is celebrating after her class was voted the best in Dudley and Sandwell.

Mother-of-one Emma Skett, who runs the town’s Babyballet Song and Dance Academy, scooped the top prize in the national awards from the UK’s biggest parenting website, Netmums.com.

Her group, which sees mums bond with their pre-school children whilst doing fun movement to music, beat off competition from dozens of other classes in the area – and will be listed as the region’s best on the Netmums website.

Mrs Skett, aged 34, said: “I’m delighted our class has been crowned the best in Sandwell and Dudley. The Netmums award means so much as it’s voted for by the parents.

“I love running the class and it’s fantastic to know the parents and children enjoy it as much as I do.”

The activity classes run at Lutley Community Centre and also in Blackheath and Belbroughton. Mums praised the classes for being friendly and the highlight of their children’s week.

More than a million mums were able to vote for the awards, making them the UK’s biggest parenting prize.
