BLACK Country employers are being offered a free stand at the forthcoming Halesowen and Rowley Regis Jobs Fair.
The jobs fair, which is being organised by local MP James Morris in conjunction with Dudley Jobcentre Plus, Sandwell and Halesowen Colleges, is being held at Rowley Learning Campus on Wednesday, July 25.
A number of employers have already signed ranging from local hairdressers to National Express, Sandwell, West Birmingham NHS Trust and the Army.
The Jobs Fair will offer free workshops, giving advice on apprenticeships and training as well as on improving their CVs and interview technique.
Mr Morris said: “We have been extremely pleased with the early response to the Jobs Fair and are pleased to see some big names committing to advertise vacancies for local job-seekers.
“A number of employers have already indicated that they are looking at bringing forward recruitment plans as they recognise that the event is a chance to find the 'best people' for their firm.”
He added: “I am confident that, with two weeks still to go before the Fair, even more firms will come forward to offer even more jobs for local people.”
Employers wishing to reserve a stand should email employers@halesowenandrowleyregis.com for the fair on Wednesday, July 25 at St Michael’s CE High School, Rowley Learning Campus between 11am and 4pm.
