Small furniture can make big difference for Halesowen charity shop
9:28am Tuesday 21st August 2012 in Local
A HALESOWEN charity shop is calling for people to donate items of small furniture to help meet a rise in demand.
The Salvation Army shop on Hagley Street said a number of people have asked it for items such as nests of tables, chairs, coffee tables and stools over the past few months.
It is appealing for people to hunt through their attics and sheds to see if they have any unwanted items and to drop them off at the store.
Jayne Sargeant, area manager for Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd, said: “Whether it’s a small coffee table, foot stool or something else really useful for the home we’d be grateful for any donations people can spare.”
Items can be dropped off from 9am til 5pm from Monday to Friday. Collection can be arranged.
Call the shop on 0121 550 1146.
