Top tier rankings for Halesowen solicitors

Halesowen solicitors’ firm Challinors’ 32-strong business crime department and its head, Ghulam Sohail, have been given the highest rankings in the latest Legal 500 Directory for the third consecutive year.
The directory, regarded as the largest and most in-depth survey of UK legal firms, says Challinors has a ‘solid team’ and marks-out partner Mr Sohail as being highly recommended for a first rate service.
The latest edition of the Legal 500 also describes Challinors’ crime team associate in the West Midlands John Allchin, as “hardworking” and notes him for his fraud work.
Challinors’ business and criminal defence department operates nationally from its Halesowen office and others across the West Midlands.
Mr Ghulam said: “Challinors has one of the largest and most competent business and criminal defence teams in the Midlands and we continue to see a rise in the number of instructions locally, nationally and internationally, based on our excellent track record, performance and results.
“Clearly, I am delighted that the team has been recognised within the top tier position by the Legal 500 for its Crime team in the region, once again this year. It is also especially pleasing that a number of our lawyers, including John Allchin, have been given special mention.”
Challinors’ private client family team in the West Midlands is also awarded top tier ranking by Legal 500 this year.
Described as “very strong,” the team is recognised for representing clients nationally and internationally on a broad range of issues.
It is particularly experienced in children’s law matters, with individual team members Fiona O’Sullivan, team head and partner, and Angela Houston, recommended.
Challinors’ clinical negligence team, led by partner Richard Bannister who is described as “very experienced,” has received second tier ranking in the West Midlands in the directory.
Overall, five of Challinors commercial and private client teams have received tier ranking in this year’s Legal 500, with nine of its solicitors receiving particular recognition.
