A NETHERTON church is looking for the best of the Midlands talent for a charity extravaganza.
Champions Church, at Cinder Bank, is hosting its sixth successive ‘Midlands Got Talent’ show, in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for charity work in the community – with last year’s event alone raising £4,000.
Last year’s winner, singer Nicole Appleby, went on to claim her first prize by recording in a professional studio and has since gone on to audition for BBC’s The Voice and has performed at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre.
Event co-ordinator, Adam Nash, said: “We have always seen great talent in the show and have been able to make a big difference with the money we raise, but this year will be even better.
“We are looking for every kind of talent, yes we want singers and dancers but we are also looking for the weird and wonderful.”
Application forms can be downloaded online at championschurch.org.uk/talent or are available from the church.
Auditions are set to take place at the church on November 3 and 10.
Tickets for the December 7 show, which go on sale next month, are priced £8 for adults and £5 for children aged 10 and under.
