Registrars at Dudley’s Priory Hall register office are advising anyone who got engaged over Christmas to beat the rush and book their wedding.

Each year around 700 couples get married at Dudley’s stunning grade I-listed Priory Hall.  But officials at this popular venue are giving an insider tip to those eager to tie the knot – limited wedding vacancies still exist in January, February and March, to those who are quick off the mark.

Penny Fulford, superintendent registrar at Priory Hall explained:

“Timing is key when planning a wedding.  We are usually inundated with people wanting to get married at Priory Hall, because of its style and beautiful location.  But as fewer people choose to marry after Christmas, canny couples can sometimes bag themselves a wedding ceremony if they enquire about slots in the first three months of the year.”

For those looking to get married in a more leisurely timeframe, couples can pick up ideas and advice at the annual Priory Hall wedding open day, taking place on Saturday March 15.

Overlooked by Dudley Castle, Priory Hall is located in Priory Park, next to priory ruins.
