Dudley Council is reminding local people to help shape the future of adult social care.

Events are being held across January asking people for their views on how the council’s adult social care service is proposing to tackle financial challenges.  This follows the council’s recent announcement that it needs to make further savings over the next three years to meet reductions in funding.

The final sessions are being held on Friday January 17 at Sedgley Community Centre from 10am to 12.30pm and at Queens Cross Network, Wellington Road, Dudley, from 2.30 to 5pm and Thursday January 23 from 2pm to 5pm at St Thomas Church Hall, Market Street Stourbridge.

Councillor Dave Branwood, cabinet member for adult and community services, said:

"Pressures on Adult Social Care budgets are enormous and as a community council it's important that we not only communicate our plans, but also listen to people's views about which services they value most. There are two dates remaining for these sessions and I would urge local residents to come along and have their say".

Anyone who wants to attend one of the events should confirm their place by calling 01384 815130.

People can also complete an online questionnaire at www.dudley.gov.uk/ascviews  The closing date for feedback is Friday January 31.
