An interactive website is being launched on Monday (20 February) to provide important information on all aspects of community safety.

safe & sound has created the user-friendly site to allow Dudley residents to access valuable information on a variety of subjects, including crime prevention, domestic abuse, drugs, alcohol, rogue traders, home and personal safety at the click of a button.

Visitors to the site can also leave messages, comment on the work of the partnership or upload information about any of the partnership’s work to their own social media sites.

The site also has a special section for young people where they can find out how street-safe they are, have their community safety questions answered or just get information on safety issues ranging from bullying to teenage dating abuse.

The site www.dudleysafeandsound.org will be officially launched on Monday 20 February.

Councillor Tim Wright, cabinet member responsible for community safety, said: “The council and its partners are keen to make sure local people have the information they need to keep safe. The website is easy to use and is full of helpful advice and contacts.

”It also incorporates the latest social media channels and links to the partnership’s You Tube channel where a variety of awareness raising videos are hosted. “The new site has something for everyone and I hope residents of all ages will use it to find out more about safe & sound’s projects and to interact with the partnership.”
