Businesses across Dudley borough are invited to an event aimed at helping them access finance to help their firms grow.

Dudley Business First has organised the breakfast seminar on March 20 at Himley Hall to offer local companies a chance to explore ways they can get funding.

Dudley Council’s Dudley Business First initiative, set up in December 2011 to support local companies, has linked up with Beer and Partners to arrange the breakfast seminar from 7.30am to 10am.

Speakers at the session will include Roy Irish and Steve McEwen from Beer and Partners, a leading business angel network which offers funding via investors as opposed to banks.

There will also be representation from Steve Peart of Lloyds Banking Group, Johnathan Dudley, Crowe Clark Whitehill Chartered Accountants and Mike Dell, investor and Black Country Chamber of Commerce president.

Councillor Angus Adams, cabinet member for regeneration, said: “A vital part of helping businesses start and grow is to ensure that our small to medium sized businesses have access to a wide range of sources of finance.

“However many businesses are still unsure what finance or investment is available to assist their growth, and how to apply for it. We hope this Dudley Business First seminar will give companies across the borough access to the financial support they are looking for.”

The seminar includes a breakfast from 7.30am and the session will begin from 8am and run to 10am. To book a place, businesses should email info@dudleybusinessfirst.org or call 01384 812001.
