THERE will be something for everybody to enjoy when a traditional village show returns to the Cotswolds.

Preparations are almost complete for Ebrington and District Gardening Club's 34th annual summer show, which is taking place at the Washbrook Barn, in Ebrington, near Chipping Campden on Saturday, August 9.

There will be a host of competitions featuring dozens of different classes for vegetables, flowers, floral art, cookers and more.

There will also be 12 classes just for children, as well as a special class for arrangement of fruits, vegetables and flowers in memory of the club's late President Doug Drinkwater.

The show will be open to the public at 2pm, with the presentation of prizes at 4pm.

Admission costs £1 and there will also be a raffle and refreshments including afternoon teas and homemade cakes.

Club member Tony Boyse said: "This is a good traditional Cotswold village show with something for everybody, so even if you are not a member, come and enjoy the exhibits and have an afternoon tea and cake.

"You will be made very welcome."
