WITH the proms season now closed the Primrose Choir is holding its own proms concert in Bromsgrove this October.

The popular annual event is being held at the Spadesbourne Suite of the Council House, Burcot Lane, from 7.30pm on Friday, October 10.

It includes a range of popular songs including golden oldies, songs from the musicals and other favourties.

There will be a Last Night of the Proms feel as guests are given the opportunity to wave flages to their favourite Prom numbers Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.

The choir is again being joined at the autumn concert by the West Mercia Police Band and, for the first time, Tenacres First School Choir.

All money raised at the event is being donated to the Primrose Hospice that supports people with life-limiting illness and their families in Bromsgrove and Redditch.

Tickets are priced at £10, and are available on 01527 67383 or 01527 546158. A limited number of tickets will also be available on the night.

• The choir practices every Wednesday evening and makes itself available for a whole range of events, including performing and leading the singing of favourite Christmas carols and songs during the festive season.

New members are always welcome - to register an interest call the same numbers.
