PERSHORE Town Council agreed to fund what they described as "essential" work at the new cemetery chapel in the town.
The chapel, which was reopened after a refurbishment last year, has a leak in one window.
To repair it is set to cost about £5,000 but councillors said it was needed before more damage was done.
Cllr Chris Parsons, chairman of the committee, said: "The council has spent an absolute fortune on that chapel because of the neglect over the past years."
