WEEKEND visitors to Worcester's annual Victorian Christmas Fayre will be able to hop on a special bus service that will ferry them to and from the festive event.

The 910, operated by First, will be making journeys on a loop from County Hall in Spetchley Road to Cathedral Island in the city centre.

This will run from 8.40am until 8.15pm on Saturday, and from 10.05am until 5.15pmon Sunday.

A group ticket, which includes parking and return travel for the driver and up to six passengers, costs £5.

Single adult tickets cost £2.50, children under 16 can hop on board for £1 and youngsters under five travel for free.

Councillor John Smith OBE, county council cabinet member for highways, said: "This year's Victorian Christmas Fayre promises to be another fantastic event.

"A special weekend bus service from County Hall, which is located conveniently near to a number of major routes, into the city centre will be operating on November 29 and 30 to help people make their journeys to enjoy the festivities."

The fayre, organised by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, runs fromThursday until Sunday .
