AN opera singer paid a visit to a Dementia Cafe in Ross.
William Coleman performed at the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Cafe at the Larruperz Centre in Grammar School Close.
He said: "Christmas is a time for singing and I love meeting people; singing with them opens up a new connection that ignores time, age, health and status and that’s why I wanted to volunteer my time and help raise the roof in Ross."
Dementia Cafes provide people with dementia and carers a platform to talk openly about living with dementia within a relaxed and informal environment.
There are 3,100 people living with dementia in Herefordshire.
Alzheimer’s Society also runs a number of services including Singing for the Brain and a Dementia Advisor service. For more information contact Herefordshire@alzheimers.org.uk or visit alzheimers.org.uk/localinfo
