DUDLEY Council has launched the ‘Let’s get active outdoors’ programme for 2015.
The free programme details fitness sessions, walks and activities in the borough’s parks, nature reserves and green spaces.
Deborah Harkins, chief officer for health and wellbeing, said: “The let’s get programme provides lots of different ways for people to be more active and eat well. These opportunities are open to anyone in Dudley borough.
“These outdoor sessions are a great way for people to take on more exercise while enjoying the borough green spaces “We know that being active outside helps us feel good both physically and mentally and keep people well for longer.”
Running from April to September the programme features workshops, events, walks and activities for people of all ages.
Guided walks forming the annual Dudley Walking Festival, which runs from Monday April 20, are included as are other activity sessions such as tennis, lap walking, fitness classes, cycling and rowing.
