A REDDITCH school has been handed a prestigious award for its commitment to the arts and creativity.

St Bede’s Catholic Middle School recently won Arts Mark Gold status, from Arts Council England.

A spokesman from the school said it was delighted with the accolade as it acknowledges the high standards of work pupils are able to achieve and shows they can truly reach their full potential.

The school offers a wide variety of clubs within the arts, including Bollywood dancing, singing, fashion and textiles, ukulele clubs, graffiti clubs, Irish dancing, and much more.

St Bede’s also runs a variety of shows and performances throughout the school year with pupils taking a lead role in organising these.
