A CAFE which is popular with walkers on the Malvern Hills is doing its bit to improve access for disabled people who want to enjoy the heights.
Cafe H2O wants to raise £1,700 to buy a mobility scooter, which can be driven on many of the paths on the hills.
The cafe is part of theWyche Innovation Centre, at Walwyn Road, Upper Colwall, not far from some of the most popular spots on the hills, including the route to the top of the Worcestershire Beacon.
Dr Adrian Burden, who founded the innovation centre, said: "There has been a lot of talk recently about accessibility on the Malvern Hills, with the debate about the cable car.
"Team Jamboree, who run the cafe, decided to raise £1,700 to buy a reconditioned mobility scooter, which disabled people can use to reach the top of the Beacon."
Visitors to the cafe are invited to contribute to a collection box and Dr Burden will also be contacting community groups for grants.
Members of the public can also contribute by visiting crowdfunding.justgiving.com/H20BUGGY.
