A BROMSGROVE church is opening its doors to the public in September.

All Saints' Church, in Burcot Lane, is holding the open day that will give visitors the chance to look around the church.

The open day takes place on Saturday, September 12, from 10am until 5pm, and on Sunday, September 13, between 1pm and 5pm.

Activities include the chance to view the registers of past marriages and baptisms, a fairtrade stall selling foods, sweets, crafts and cards, and a bookstall.

A collection of toys is being held to be passed on to disadvantaged families.

Afternoon tea is served from 3pm on both days, costing £3.

Tessa Carrick said: “We are always pleased to see so many visitors on these special weekends to celebrate the church’s heritage.

"It will be good if parents and children come with toys that are no longer wanted but whether you bring toys or not you are bound to find something to enjoy at All Saints on this weekend."

Anyone unable to make the weekend event is inviting to further open days being held on Thursdays from 10.30am until 4.30pm, until the end of October.
