ADULT cookery classes and forager guided walks are just two of the exciting new features of this year’s Great British Food Festival taking place at Ragley Hall, near Alcester.

More than 80 top food producers, plenty of hot food to enjoy, real ale and wine bars, craft and gift stalls as well as children’s activities, chef demonstrations and live music and entertainment are on the menu for the event on Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13.

The main chef demonstration area will play host to some great local and TV chefs like Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano and Master Chefs Luke Owen. All demonstrations are free to enter so everyone can pick up some top foodie tips.

Visitors can enjoy and take part in regular artisan foodie talks and the popular Great British Cake off and Men V Food.

The festival has attracted lots of producers showcasing the best in local, seasonal and speciality food and drink. Visitors can try an amazing mix of cultures and cuisines with Thai, Mexican, Asian as well as pulled pork, prime steak and the best local burgers and sausages, for those with more traditional tastes.

• Ragley Hall is at the heart of the 6,500-acre Ragley Estate and dates back to 1680. It is the home to the 9th Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford and their young family.

• The Palladian hall was designed by Robert Hooke, a contemporary of Sir Christopher Wren, for the first Earl of Conway and is the only remaining example of several great houses he built.

• The hall is surrounded by 10 hectares of Capability Brown gardens.
