AN elderly woman was rescued from a house fire in Church Stretton.
Two fire crews from Church Stretton and Craven Arms were called to the fire at a house in Central Avenue.
When they arrived they found that an elderly woman had been rescued from the building that was badly smoke damaged. An ambulance also attended the incident.
The fire in a mid-terraced house had started in an oil filled radiator.
Fire fighters used water jets and breathing apparatus to deal with the incident at 7.20pm on Friday, February 12.
