AN elderly woman was burgled at her home in Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police officers are appealing for information after the incident which took place between 2pm and 4.20pm on Tuesday, April 26, in Hurcott Road.

It is believed the unknown offender forced entry to the property through the back door.

The victim, a 74-year-old woman, was not at home during the incident so was not hurt.

A significant quantity of cash and some jewellery was stolen during the burglary.

Detective Sergeant Squires said: "This burglary targeted a vulnerable older woman who was living alone, and we are hoping that someone will be able to help us identify the offender to bring them to justice.

"There is no detail too small - if you think you know something which could be3 relevant to our investigation, please get in touch."
