A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after being kicked by a horse in Wolverley today (June 27).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called out to the village at around 1.30pm this afternoon following the incident.

The victim, aged 27, suffered a number of injuries was rushed to hospital for treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The 27-year-old woman sustained severe pain in her hip and leg.

“She was given advanced analgesia and trauma care on scene to help stabilise her condition.

“Once immobilised with the use of a neck collar, spinal board and pelvic splint, the woman was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.”
