TWO fundraising friends are braving the shave to help raise money for cancer.

Terri-Jo Smith, 28, of Mill Street, will chop off her locks for charity when she takes on the Brave The Shave challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on September 5.

Friend Max Hardwick, 37, of Habberley, will join her by having his legs waxed at the event at Cosy Coffee in Kidderminster, with the duo hoping to raise £200 for a good cause.

Ms Smith said: "We decided to join the Brave The Shave event to raise money for MacMillan.

"We have never done anything like this before but wanted to support people who go through it as those who are diagnosed lose their hair but have not choice in it.

"Max will be having his legs waxed which is a big sacrifice for a man!

"I have mixed emotions when I think of it.

"Sometimes I’m a bit nervous but other times I’m looking forward to it.

"But our friends and family will be coming along to come along to support us and we are hoping to raise £200."
