A NEW Worcestershire concert band will be giving its first performance in Bromsgrove at St John's Church next month.
The Black Pear Symphonic Winds Orchestra will be visiting the church on Saturday, October 8 to showcase the rich and varied repertoire of wind orchestra music.
Music director Colin Farlow said: "For many years I have recognised that there was something missing in the area that both provided the opportunity for local musicians to perform this repertoire at a high level and also provide a natural step for the young wind musicians that were moving on from the County’s Worcestershire Youth Wind Orchestra.”
The concert is called 'Discovery and Reflection' and is set to start at 7.30pm, with a range of refreshments available.
Tickets cost £10 and are available on the door. Accompanied children can enter free or charge.
