REDDITCH mum of five Chez Tibbetts has never even flown before - but is now planning to hurl herself from a plane at 15,000ft in a daredevil charity effort.

Mrs Tibbetts, aged 33, who is receptionist at Nationwide Just Car Clinic in Pipers Road, on the Park Farm industrial estate, Redditch, has roped in two colleagues - Denver Holt and Mark Leach, from Kidderminster - to join her in the skydive, aiming to raise at least £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

"I've never even been in a plane before but I am so excited to be doing a skydive, although I am sure I will be extremely nervous on the day," said Mrs Tibbetts, of Pedmore Close, Woodrow South, who is receptionist at the Just Car Clinic accident repair centre.

"I have five children - four girls aged five to 13 and a 15-year-old son - and the older ones say they don't think I will do it. But I will."

Her husband, Stewart, who works as a driver at the car clinic, and their children will go along to watch the skydive, due to take place in Swansea on December 18.

Mr Holt, aged 55, and Mr Leach, 29, who live in Kidderminster but work as panel technicians at the Redditch accident repair centre, and Mrs Tibbetts will each do their tandem dives attached to an experienced instructor.

The national company they work for asks each branch to raise at least £1,000 a year for Macmillan and the Redditch staff chose the skydive as their contribution.

Their Just Giving site - called Redditch JCC Skydive - was set up just a week ago but has already brought in pledges of £235, with a further £100 in cash donations also coming in.

"We have set a target of £1,000 - but if I'm honest I'd love to smash that," said Mrs Tibbetts.
