TOYS are being collected for children in Worcester who face poverty this Christmas.
Staff at The Entertainer in The Shambles have placed a collection point at their shop for people to donate gifts.
The toys will be donated to children whose parents are forced to use Worcester Foodbank over Christmas.
The food bank usually see a spike in referrals over winter with benefit changes, benefit delays and low income being some of the main reasons people are referred to the service.
Grahame Lucas, manager of Worcester Foodbank, said: "We're delighted The Entertainer wants to help us support families that cannot afford to feed themselves, let alone buy presents.
"Even the smallest gift will put a huge smile on the face of a child that has very little to look forward to this Christmas."
